Freezer rooms: installation and service
A freezer room is a room built from thicker PIR sandwich panels with a low-temperature condensing unit that stores goods at -18 to -25 °C. ColdBack builds freezer rooms with an insulated floor, heated in larger rooms, with controls and defrosting. We work in Warsaw and across Masovia (Mazowieckie Province). After commissioning we provide service and F-gas leak checks.

A freezer room that holds its temperature without wasting power
In a freezer room every mistake costs twice: ice on the evaporator, a frozen floor, a door left open. We design to avoid these problems.
PIR panel freezer rooms
Thicker panels than in a cold room, tight joints and freezer doors with heated seals.
Insulated and heated floor
Floor insulation and, in larger freezer rooms, floor heating, so the ground under the room does not freeze.

Capacity selected from a heat load calculation, including for freezing fresh goods, not only for storage.

We build PIR panel cold rooms across Masovia (Mazowieckie Province), from our base in Majdan near Warsaw. We supply and install condensing units and refrigeration systems for existing cold rooms throughout Poland.

24/7 on-call service
Night, weekend and public holiday on-call service is available to companies with a service contract, and in Warsaw also a guaranteed response within 4 hours. Without a contract we take calls Mon-Fri 8:00-18:00.

What temperature does a freezer room reach?
A typical freezer room for storing frozen food runs at -18 to -25 °C. Quick-frozen food must be stored at -18 °C or below. We design rooms for fast freezing of fresh goods as blast chilling and freezing rooms.
How does a freezer room differ from a cold room?
A freezer room has thicker insulating panels, doors with heated seals, an insulated floor, a low-temperature condensing unit and automatic evaporator defrosting. Larger freezer rooms also have a heated floor, so the ground under the room does not freeze and lift the floor.
How long does it take to build a freezer room?
Installing a typical PIR panel room of up to about 30 m³ takes 1 to 3 days on site. Before that we order the panels and condensing unit, which usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. In the high season, from May to the end of September, the lead time from order can extend to as much as 2 months, so it is worth ordering your room in advance.
Can fresh goods be frozen in a standard freezer room?
Yes, but the condensing unit must be sized for it, because freezing fresh meat takes several times more energy than storing frozen food. For large batches that need fast freezing, a blast chilling and freezing room is a better choice.
How much does a freezer room cost?
The price depends on the dimensions, temperature, panel thickness, floor insulation, doors and condensing unit capacity. We price every freezer room individually. Send us the dimensions, the type of goods and the temperature, and we will prepare a quote within 48 hours.
