What we do on condensing units
Most condensing unit failures give warning signs first: higher pressures, longer running times, noise. A regular maintenance inspection picks them up before the cold room stops.
Diagnostics and repairs
Measuring pressures, temperatures and current draw, reading controller alarms, repair on site.
Compressor replacement
Replacing a failed compressor, with system cleaning, evacuation and recharging.
Leaks and refrigerant
Finding and fixing leaks, topping up refrigerant, leak checks with an entry in the CRO.
Condensers and fans
Cleaning condensers, replacing fans and motors, checking airflow.
Controls and electrics
Controllers, pressure switches, contactors, motor protection, temperature logging.
Service contract
Maintenance inspections on fixed dates, a response within 4 hours in Warsaw and 24/7 on-call service for clients with a contract.
Service contract
Peace of mind instead of night-time breakdowns
A service contract gives your system a permanent caretaker: regular inspections, F-gas documentation and a guaranteed response time. Fewer breakdowns, less spoiled stock and predictable costs.
24/7 on-call service
Night, weekend and public holiday on-call service is available to companies with a service contract, and in Warsaw also a guaranteed response within 4 hours. Without a contract we take calls Mon-Fri 8:00-18:00.
Want to be sure a Saturday breakdown will not spoil your stock? Call 516 338 012 and we will match the inspection scope and response time to your cold room.

Condensing unit not working? What to do before the technician arrives
These steps are safe and do not require opening the unit. Call us and we will handle the rest on site.
516 338 012- 01Check that there is power and that the condensing unit's circuit breaker has not tripped.
- 02Do not keep switching the unit back on if the breaker keeps tripping: this can damage the compressor.
- 03Check that the outdoor condenser is not blocked by leaves, plastic film or snow.
- 04Take a photo of the controller showing the alarm code and temperature.
- 05Keep the cold room door closed so the goods hold their temperature for longer.

Frequently asked questions
How often should a condensing unit have a maintenance inspection?
We recommend an inspection at least once a year, ideally before summer, when the unit works hardest. Separately, the F-gas Regulation requires leak checks: every 12 months for 5-50 t CO₂ equivalent, every 6 months for 50-500 t, and every 3 months above 500 t. With a leak detection system, these intervals are doubled.
How can I tell a condensing unit is about to fail?
The most common signs are almost non-stop running, frequent switching on and off, a louder compressor, a hot condenser, ice on the evaporator and the room slowly reaching temperature. With these symptoms, call for service straight away, because a repair before a breakdown costs less than a new compressor and lost goods.
Is it worth repairing an old condensing unit?
It depends on the age of the unit, the condition of the compressor and the refrigerant. A unit running on an HFC refrigerant being phased out under F-gas Regulation (EU) 2024/573 can be expensive to service, because the refrigerant is harder and harder to get. After diagnosis we tell you plainly whether a repair makes sense or whether it is better to replace the unit with a new one using a low-GWP refrigerant.
Do you service condensing units you did not install?
Yes. We service condensing units from various manufacturers, including Bitzer, Danfoss, Copeland, Dorin, Frascold and Tecumseh, whoever installed them. On the first visit we check the condition of the unit and its documentation, including the CRO entry.
Can you come out at night or at the weekend?
Night, weekend and public holiday on-call service is available to clients with a service contract. We take other requests on working days from 8:00 to 18:00 and agree the visit time during the call.
